This wedding is exactly why I wanted to start this blog. I wanted show couples that you can do whatever you would like for your wedding. Just be yourself! It is your wedding so make it YOURS.

Location: A private residence in Livermore, CO. The property was the original Livermore post-office and hotel around the turn of the century.

Photography: Stone Crandall Photography

Flowers: All of the bouquets and table arrangements were done by the bride's family which consisted of sunflowers and hypercium. The bouquets were wrapped in burlap and silk ribbon. The men's boutineer's were done by the Lil' Flower Shop in Windsor, CO

Pies: All of the pies were made by the guests. Along with the invitation, Ashleigh and Jesse encouraged those who considered themselves bakers to bring along a pie of their choosing. There were probably around 60 homemade pies all marked with the kind and it's respectful baker. Even one of the young cowboys (pictured standing alongside his brother) baked a pie.

Catering: Nordy's BBQ in Loveland, CO

Band: Cowtown Boogie. They are a country band made up of local Northern Colorado teachers.

Notes from the Stone Crandall, the photographer.

When I googled directions to Jesse and Ashleigh's amazing Colorado ranch wedding the map looked like it was going straight into nowhere. The moment I saw that and the words "county road" I was beyond excited. We all know after all that the best places on Earth are the obscure, hard to find ones. When Shelby and I had finally crossed the bridge, and the cattle guard we turned right into what (around the turn of the century) was the the Livermore, Colorado Post Office and Hotel and now is occupied by family friends of Ashleigh's. To take the journey further, the wedding was not taking place in the beautiful ranch yard, but rather about a mile up a dirt road overlooking the entire valley and river. It was nothing short of spectacular. The guests walked up the road joking and laughing along the way, while Jesse and Ashleigh made their way up in the 57 Chevy Pick-up that Jesse restored for their wedding day. During the ceremony the 350 guests (including governor Bill Ritter) sat on hay bails while Pastor Bert Wright and Tom Glossi spoke. Also during the ceremony Ashleigh and Jesse took communion and a moment to themselves while the bridesmaids and groomsmen presented communion to the wedding guests. Post ceremony everyone was able to soak in the epic Colorado sunset while heading back down to BBQ, bluegrass, homemade pies, and dancing. The moment the band struck a cord there were people on the dance floor, and it seemed that everyone there were professional two-steppers. As the sky grew dark the trees lit up with soft white light that was strung over the dance floor. It really was magical. As a whole the wedding was an authentic cowboy wedding, with special organic touches, and very sweet personal elements.
