Mad Men Inspired

a MAD MEN inspired style shoot created by the talented Sarah Viera Event Planning & Design {LISTmember}

Notes from the photographer: With the urge to do something a little different, my wedding planner friend Sarah Viera and I decided we’d like to dream up a Mad Men themed styled shoot. We wanted to showcase our favorite vendors, and really give them a chance to shine. I wanted to try something a little different with my post processing. I knew from watching the show that there is very little color casting done for the episodes, but I wanted to give the images a bit of a vintage tone; both to challenge myself, as well as give the shoot a true vintage feel. Sarah and I worked hard to find models that fit the “something different” bill. We wanted exotic beauty, and the models we found nailed it. Sarah did an amazing job of selecting the details. She chose gold rimmed place settings, and the chairs were adorned with pumpkin and creme sashes. We loved the tea length dress, and vintage maids dresses. While Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch is a rather rugged location, it served as the perfect setting for our “Mad Men in the Mountains” theme. The models and details came together to give us the perfect vintage shoot with a modern Colorado twist.
