Country Chic Vail Wedding

Notes from Jessica of Flourish Photography, a Utah-based wedding photographer: Jessica and Ben wanted a country themed wedding nestled at the the beautiful Donovan’s Pavilion In Vail, CO. The wedding was a combination of county and modern bride. Bridalize paid attention to EVERY detail. From the Tin cans to the Hand made wooden signs (father of the bride made them) This was a beautiful wedding that had style but SO unique.

Sample Sale at Anna Be

FLASH SAMPLE SALE at Anna Be, a Denver Bridal Boutique.

May 18 | One day only!

Do not miss this sale if you are looking for a bargain! Anna Be will have a HUGE selection of sample dresses (these are the floor samples of the gowns) for a minimum of 40% and as much as 90% off the original price! Check out event details here.

Things to consider before making an appointment:

#1: A sample sale allows you to find the gown of your dreams at a bargain price, so if you have never tried on gowns before this may not be the sale for you. It is not possible to know what silhouette will flatter your figure.

#2: Be forewarned that sample sales are often overwhelming and are not the typical first anna bé bridal appointment.

In the past, their sample sales have booked out completely, so appointments are required. However, if you have more time or would just prefer a traditional appointment let us know that too and you can always go that route too.

#3: Generally sample sizes are 8′s and 10′s and are made for a B cup.  If you are under 5’5 or over 5″11 and are larger than a C cup, it is not recommended that you shop at a sample sale.

the guidelines:

To avoid a chaotic experience, a Filene’s basement-esque frenzy, and any potential hair pulling, Anna Be has compiled a short list of guidelines.

  • Appointments are required to try on bridal sample gowns and will be scheduled for one hour – Call 720.855.1111
  • All dresses are on a first come, first sold basis and we cannot hold dresses
  • All dresses are sold as-is
  • We do not decide which of our samples will go on sale until the morning of the sale! In order to be as fair as possible, we do not accept pre-sample sale appointments to preview the sale and will not be able to sell any dresses off the rack before the sale starts
  • This sale is for experienced shoppers only and for brides who know what they want
  • During a sample sale, you will need to make a decision very quickly. We cannot hold dresses, so if you need someone’s approval, bring them with!

happy shopping!

1920′s Vintage Glam

The ladies at Bluebird Production {LISTmembers}, Aspen wedding planners, wanted to show you an unique and different twist to the standard warm and bubbly Aspen wedding. This 1920′s vintage glamour style shoot highlights the best aspects of SteakHOUSE 316, a new restaurant in Aspen. I love the use of the deep reds and blacks with sumptuous banquettes.

Fall Wedding in Aspen

a FALL THEMED wedding in aspen, colorado

Using non-floral elements such as wheat can add wonders to your theme and overall feel of your wedding. Think outside of the box and add non-floral elements to your decor.

Notes from Pam of Sapphire Celebrations {LISTmember}: Faith, family, and friends were key when Sarah and Mat began planning their wedding.  Growing up in America’s heartland, the couple’s North Dakota roots were prevalent in the design.  The festivities kicked off with a BBQ rehearsal dinner at Hickory House, followed by two step lessons at the Annabelle Inn.  Guests were transported to the top of Aspen Mountain via gondola, where nature’s glory spread from horizon to horizon.  The Aspen Wedding Deck and adjacent Aspen Mountain Club were selected for the ceremony and reception.  Wheat stems decorated personal flowers and napkin rolls.  Sheaves of wheat decorated tables. The evening wrapped up with an after party at The Little Nell.

Destination Wedding Tips

Create a Window to Your Destination Wedding

With destination weddings on the rise, it is becoming more and more important for couples to have a means for informing their guests of their upcoming wedding plans as well as provide recommendations for out-of-town guests.

Wedding websites allow your guests one-stop shopping when it comes time for them to arrange their travel plans as well as other details. You can be as specific as you wish and link your website directly to the hotel reservation pages that you would like to recommend to your guests.

You will find that having a website is not only a time-saver but a budget-saver as well. The multiple mailings that can sometimes become necessary to communicate with your guests can easily eat up a good portion of any wedding budget. Allowing your guests to RSVP online will also cut down on your wedding expenses. No need for RSVP cards! However, you can always order just enough for those guests who may not be web savvy.

Destination weddings have definitely become a way for couples to express their style in a less traditional way. If you choose to have your wedding in a destination location, try to make it a fun experience for you and your fiancé as well as for your guests.

Destination Wedding Tips
1. Location, Location, Location. When selecting a location, choose one that appeals to your tastes and wedding style. Keep in mind, however, that because it won’t be as easy as going down the street to the local church to attend your wedding, you’ll have to assume that your guest list may be smaller. You’ll need to get a good sense about the number of attendees you wish to have before selecting your event facility so you can be confident that it will be appropriate for the crowd.

2. Less is More. Destination weddings can be expensive not only for those getting married, but also for those attending. Try to be mindful of that when selecting your wedding site so those who are closest to you can afford to attend. Consider having your wedding during the off-season so costs will be lower. Traditionally, accommodation expenses are covered for the bridesmaids by the bride’s family and for the groomsmen by the groom’s family. All other guests should be responsible for their own expenses. Most hotels will work with you to offer group discounts.

3. Assist your Guests. You may know the location that you will be flying off to for your dream wedding like the back of your hand, but most of your guests will not. Your wedding websitecan be a tool to help you educate your guests about the area, local attractions, accommodation ideas, the weather and directions. Making their job easier will only amount in a larger turnout at your wedding. Use your website to remind them of the things they may not consider such as a passport if required for your chosen location.

Check out Wedding Window. They have great customized websites and planning tools.
