A Fall Harvest Styled Shoot

Notes from the photographer, Tara Bielecki {LISTmember}:

This styled shoot was inspired by early Britain harvest festival customs and traditions. Until the 20th century most farmers celebrated the end of the harvest with a big meal called the harvest supper, to which all who had helped in the harvest were invited. We love how this idea marries with the sentiment of celebrating with those who have supported you to cultivate your wedding day.

Much like a harvest festival, weddings are a time for us to gather and celebrate the fruits of our labor. A time for us to join around the table, break bread, drink wine, and enjoy the company of the ones we love and are grateful for.

Photographed at the historic Castle Marne in Denver, Colorado, this lava stone home was built in 1889 and added authenticity of the time frame for which our inspiration was richly celebrated. We love the thick stone walls, lush gardens, and intricate detailing around doors and windows, making it perfect for a communal celebration.

I wanted to really bring this shoot to life by incorporating delicious local food fit for the finest harvest celebration. Foodie Call created the perfect holiday meal and the beet soup was an excellent compliment to our rich tablescape. No harvest meal would be complete without a buffet full of delectable desserts, which is why Handcraft Bakery crafted the most beautiful ganache, cakes, and candy apples. Our goal was to show how this holiday season can be elevated to an elegant wedding affair with the ones you love.
