Notes from the photographer, Erika Aileen:

The vision for this Lost Gulch Overlook elopement all began in order to highlight the beautiful earth tones found in the mountains. From the orange-red dirt to muted green foliage, to the bright blue sky, all the colors were designed to complement each other. So, instead of fighting against nature’s palette, we decided to embrace it. With a mind to highlight the slightly muted tones of nature, the bride’s dress was a simple, elegant gown from The Bridal Collection by Justin Alexander. The bride’s dress neckline mimicked the clean lines of the mountain backdrop. The flowers from Ribbon and Twine Floral perfectly drew in all of the natural tones and cascaded beautifully with navy silk ribbon. Similarly, the groom also kept his attire classic and simple in order to highlight his one of a kind boutonniere. The stationery, by Twin Sisters Design, pulled in the color theme found throughout the shoot with the copper leaf on the vow books and elopement announcements. This colorful earth-toned elopement is the epitome of classic modernity.
