It was only a matter of time when cannabis would become a wedding trend. Here's a chic cannabis inspired styled shoot by local Colorado vendors. Notes from the photographer, Denise of Lollylah: Recently we put together a cannabis inspired styled wedding photo shoot. Along with Bec Koop, owner of Cannabis Concierge Events and Buds & Blossoms, we produced a beautiful shoot focusing on an aspect of cannabis culture that exists but is so rarely recognized. Our goal was to create something refined and sophisticated that looked beyond the perceptions associated with cannabis use. To achieve this we included details such as a hemp wedding dress, subtle placement of cannabis in floral arrangements and hair pieces, as well as other design elements carefully laced through out the set. These things combined, tell a visual story that surpasses common stereotypes.As mentioned we wanted to be extremely subtle with our use of cannabis but here are some specific examples of how we incorporated it stylistically.-Eco hemp and silk wedding dress courtesy Janay A Eco Bridal-Custom made hemp jewelry-Vape pen used by the groom-Hemp used for decorative elements in our aspen grove vignette -Floral pieces contained cannabis bud to include the bouquet, boutonniere as well as the hairpiece. There�s also a few cannabis leaves used decoratively. -Hemp berry smoothies-Cannabis leaf design in the pizzelles used on the place settings-Clock on the �munchies� table set to 4:20 ;-)-The venue is a cannabis friendly bed and breakfast located on private property. By law cannabis use can only be on private property.We opted not to include cannabis infused food in the shoot because the rules and regulations for edibles are extremely strict. We did not want to show anything that was potentially illegal, borderline illegal or too difficult to replicate. Commercial edible shops cannot sell a cannabis infused wedding cake or any food that is not strictly portion controlled. Currently, by law, all edibles sold recreationally have to be either individual packaged or de-marked in increments of 10 or few milligrams of activated THC.
