I wanted to try and use as many things that I already owned as well as some awesome etsy vendors so I could show how you can easily have a gorgeous but affordable wedding but doing some simple DIY and being a little crafty....not to mention have a wedding with decor that is unique and true to your style. This is very similar to what I would do when I get married. The antlers actually sit on my table at home with candles around them and the vintage ax I painted gold and is a book shelf stopper. The tissue flowers make it eco friendly and give lots of awesome pops of color. I am totally in LOVE with tassels and really hope they stay around for a while....again they give the backdrop just the right amount of color and texture and afterwards you could have them hanging up in your house around your windows or over your bed for a memorable and whimsical touch. I think too often brides get caught in the trap of being influenced by other peoples ideas as to what their wedding should look like... and perhaps lose a sense of who they are and what they want their wedding to be about. I think if they just stopped and looked around their own home decor to see who they really are...and then incorporate that into their wedding...to make their wedding day not only memorable but also absolutely uniquely them and totally awesome because of that.
