Notes from Jordan for Long Ago Love Events {LISTmember}:
Long Ago Love Events was so excited to coordinate and style this shoot of a feminine vintage boudoir bridal shower, dreamed up by photographer Melissa Mullins. The inspiration for this shoot came to Melissa as she was trying to plan a girls� gathering for her sister�s shower and bachelorette bash. She wanted to plan a party where all the ladies could relax and enjoy some treats while get professionally glammed up for mini photo session (what better party favors then a few gorgeous photos of you and your friends, all bedecked in floral-crown goodness?) before heading out for a night on the town. Melissa realized that such a service was nowhere to be found, so she set out to make it happen with some truly fabulous vendors--when we heard her idea, Long Ago Love Events couldn�t wait to get onboard!
Using The Holiday Chalet, a gorgeous Victorian B&B in downtown Denver, to set the stage for our festivities, Kim J Beauty {LISTmember} and Lark Mervine gave our ladies the royal treatment, with a bit of alluring, subtly dramatic makeup and a lovely, unique updo for each, with a floral crown of fresh blooms from Brightside Flora as the finishing touch. We incorporated boudoir elements and the detailing on the sweetly vintage-inspired lingerie handmade by Ohhh Lulu Lingerie was swoon-worthy! Delicate jewelry from Dolce De Leti Jewelry completed the girl�s looks.
Dressed and pampered, our ladies enjoyed scrumptious macarons from Honey B�s Macarons {LISTmember} and the most delightful pink ombre cake created by From Scratch Ltd. as they took turns doing glam photo sessions with Melissa. Cheerful chatter around the table and bestie photos were a staple of the party. The vibrantly beautiful invitation suite was hand-painted by Lauraland Designs.
Long Ago Love Events had so much fun piecing together the tablescape and dessert array, using our collection of blush Depression era glass pieces and cheerful colorful linens from Pear Tree Rentals, paired with breathtaking florals provided by Brightside Flora. Unique hand-painted pendants from Amy Heyse Art were the perfect party favors. A truly fabulous antique settee served as the backdrop for the beauty shots, and the ladies absolutely rocked it and had a great time celebrating together just how beautiful they each are.
