Ayla Reece is the most adorable little baby, and not just because she looks a lot like my Vivienne when she was a newborn. Her mom Sara has style in spades, and is always accessorizing Ayla with the cutest Etsy accessories and hairbows. It doesn't hurt that as a professional photographer, even her facebook pics are just lovely. For Ayla's newborn photos, they reached out to a photographer friend to capture the whole family. Could they be anymore gorgeous?

Cassidy Brooke

From mom (and photographer herself) Sara:
When planning the nursery for Ayla Reese (Ayla means moonlight and Reese is fiery & enthusiastic... so far they both seem to fit her personality quite well!), the very first thing we did was choose the perfect shade of light grey paint for the walls. My husband and my sister painted the nursery long before we knew if we were having a boy or a girl, but I always knew I wanted a bright neutral tone on the walls. It bounces beautiful natural light around the room, which, of course, is great from a photography perspective. After that, I began putting together a pinterest board with my ideas for the nursery. I was so convinced that we were having a girl that I didn't have any boy nursery pins at all. Good thing I was right! As soon as we got confirmation that we were having a little lady, I narrowed down my vision, and started piecing things together. I knew I wanted a room that was feminine with a whimsical touch, and also was more sophisticated than the stereotypical baby room. I wanted to ensure the room fit with the style of the rest of our home. It needed to be a look that could easily grow with Ayla as well. I love neutral palettes with touches of color sprinkled throughout. I'm always drawn to blush so I started there, and then added turquoise and a bright yellow to add a bit of whimsy to balance the feminine.
