Usually in this scenario, I am the one who is the hostess. I love hosting and jump at the opportunity to throw a soire. When the tables are turned and I attend an event, I always, always bring a hostess gift. In a cinch, grab a bottle of wine and your good to go. But, if you want to go above and beyond (and we all do, right), here are Martha Stewarts ideas for creative hostess gifts that are sure to blow their socks off!
What's on the list: 1. Jam + Baguette. How neat is that? Outside the box in an old world way. 2. After Dinner Kit. Really this can be anything you think the host would appreciate as a late night snack for after every heads home. 3. The Good Morning gift is my favorite. Any hostess would be more then grateful to have a pre-made, caffeinated gift basket of goodies to start the next day off right. 4. We love local and the option of putting together a gift of locally made culinary basics is perfection. Go anywhere in your 'hood and pick out a variety of high end essentials for their kitchen and home. 5. Want to go all out? Prep a kit for them to have a ready made night in. Martha's idea was a paella kit! Create a set that you think they would fancy. 6. Homemade treats are the best. Always. Well, as long as you can cook that is. Try this Carmel Bourbon Vanilla Sauce. { Images + Hostess Ideas via Martha Stewart }
