Today's nursery feature is brought to you by none other than the founder and Editor-in-Chief of COUTUREcolorado, Laura Dombrowski Steele. Laura welcomed her adorable twin girls, Alma Jane and Fiona Mae this year. Befitting to the daughters of such a stylish momma, Fi + AJ's pad looks like the hip Tribeca loft of my dreams: exposed brick, a window wall, and plenty of gallery-like space for art. And of course... a mirrored closet large enough for all the girl's future fashions! We asked Laura to pass on some advice to other expectant twin mommas: The best thing I ever did: I hired a postpartum doula, who specialized in multiples from Doula Wise. Carolyn helped us for the first two months in our transition to becoming parents. It was like a "baby bootcamp." At 3 1/2 months, we had the twins on an amazing schedule: 8pm bedtime with a 10:30 "dream feed", and then they wake up between 5 and 6am. Mistake I made: I listened to all the advice I got about getting a comfy glider. So, I bought the most fabulous comfy glider, with an ottoman, that I could find. Turns out that with twins... it is useless. After the first few days of sitting on the floor and feeding the girls, we moved the glider out, and a couch in. I now know to only get advice from twin moms!
