Interior Design: Office Space

Creating an office space is such a hard task. Think about it- regardless of your occupation, your office is a physical manifestation of what you're putting into the professional nook of the world. You are meeting clients in there, creating in there, keeping files in there, basically it is a second home. It needs to express you in a multitude of ways. For some of us, the office and home intersect and you may find yourself with a home office. This is very much the case for myself. Though there are moments where I wish I had an office outside of the home, 99% of the time I am unbelievably grateful for the situation. I spend many days in my office working and heading in and out to meetings and appointments, Most days are spent working alongside my two beloved pups Harlow & Starsky, sipping highly caffeinated beverages and tackling project after project and loving every minute of it, which isn't always the case when heading to the office.

My dream however is a stand alone office at my home, oh-so similar to Rosa's pictured below. It allows you to be home but in a fully separated work space, which is amazing. Found on a favorite blog of mine, Apartment Therapy, Rosas' office is my idea of a perfect work area. Working in the field that I do, it's mandatory to be intensely organized but still have have enough space to be be creative. All the better if the two are separate. Her office not only has a large center table to meet clients and create projects at, but a drafting table and enough space for two people to have a private desk area plus an outdoor patio. How refreshing and chic is that?! And let's talk about the organization; having everything clearly filed but easily visible and accessible is the perfect way to always know what you have on hand quickly. Combining modern structures with DIY touches and crisp, bold colors woven through out, I am 100% addicted to every single thing this studio office offers.
