I just took my family our on first official vacation. My husband and I always loved going to Telluride before the kiddos came so we were very excited to get the chance to take our twin 2 year old daughters. From riding free gondola to exploring downtown Telluride to enjoying to the live music in Mountain Village, we loved every second in Telluride. Of course, we got a babysitter so we could enjoy the night life, golf, hiking and paddle boarding. The Inn at Lost Creek was the perfect place to stay. One, it was the perfectly located next to the gondola in the heart of Mountain Village. And two, they have a full sized kitchen and washer dryer which made traveling with the kiddos easy!

Here is my top ten reasons to go to Telluride this Summer.

Telluride-Getaway

1. Free Gondola - Park your car at your hotel and never drive it again. The Free Gondola is your transportation.

2. Two Towns in One - You will enjoy the best of both worlds. The chic resort Mountain Village and the rustic downtown Telluride.

3. Secluded and NOT CROWDED - With the I-70 corridor getting over-crowded with Denverites every weekend, it is hard to find that mountain getaway that actually feels like a getaway. Telluride provides the seclusion with all the amenities and luxuries.

4. Stunning Views - Seriously, no other Colorado mountain town can compare. The views are the best our state has to offer.

5. Free Wednesday Night Concerts - In Mountain Village, there are a free concerts every Wednesday.

6. Farmers Market on Fridays - We picked up fresh pastries to enjoy on our drive back to Denver.

7. Activities - There is no shortage of adventurous fun in Telluride..... hiking, biking, paddle boarding, golfing, fishing,

8. Festivals - From Blues and Brews to Yoga Fest, there is always something happening.

9. Foodie Heaven - So many killer restaurants to choose from. I particularly like Cosmopolitan, 221 South Oak, Allred's, La Marmotte, New Sheridan Chop House, Telluride Bistro, Hongas

10 . Kid Paradise - Grown-up Getaway - Telluride fuses the gap between kid-friendly and grown-up getaway. Telluride has a ton of kid-friendly activities and adventures but when it is time for a romantic night out, you have lots of bars and restaurants to explore.
