Q&A with Bride and Groom: 

How did you meet?

Kevin and I met in EMT class six years prior to our marriage.  We both continued as EMTs and then went to nursing school and became nurses together.

What is your proposal story?

Kevin took me out for dinner at my favorite restaurant in Denver.  We then went for a walk in the Highlands, it was Black Friday so Christmas lights were up everywhere.  He pulled me aside onto a bench framed by lights and a brick wall, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him.  It was just the two of us.  We then went to a bar where our friends were waiting, and celebrated.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.

I wanted my wedding to be simple, yet elegant.  Our colors were purple and lavender.  We were married in June, so we also had pops of green floral and lace.  Most of my wedding was homemade, and my bridesmaids and I arranged the flowers.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

The best part of the day, for both of us, was the ceremony.  Everyone was very emotional when I walked down the aisle, including Kevin, it was a beautiful venue and it had just stopped raining right before our ceremony.
