As a veteran in the wedding and event industry, Kari knew she wanted something unique for their wedding day, and Jonathan was all on board.
Jonathan and Kari married on the 7-year anniversary of the day that Jonathan asked her to be his girlfriend. With many personal touches throughout the ceremony and reception, Jonathan and Kari wanted to give their guests a glimpse into their relationship and distinct personalities. Jonathan grew up in the mountains so it was important to find a ceremony site that had gorgeous Colorado mountain views. Kari wanted a more modern reception space and the Cable Center in Denver was the perfect choice.
With Kari's boss Anthony as the officiant, they read their own vows in front of their closest family and friends and sealed them in a wine box with separate love letters to each other.
Kari and Jonathan had four different food stations throughout the Cable Center, and each incorporated their favorite foods. They also treated their guests with a cake bar stocked with pink and ivory cakes. The space was designed with a variety of tall cocktail style tables and lounge furniture to create open seating without formal place settings. After dancing all night long, guests snacked on late-night mini breakfast burritos before heading to the after party.
One of Kari's dearest vendors made a beautiful LOVE marquee sign that illuminated the floor and gave guests quite the backdrop for photos.

Notes from the Bride, Kari of Footers Catering:
Jonathan and I met through a great group of friends in 2006. Soon after meeting, and much to our surprise, we realized that our school schedules were very similar and that we were able to see each other more and more. One night Jonathan and his cousin surprised my friend and I with Avalanche tickets! Unfortunately we were just sitting down to class when we received this exciting news, but we were able to come up with a little white lie to leave class early. Good thing the little white lie worked, because that night Jonathan and I ended up on the kiss cam! Over the next six years, our love flourished, we graduated from college and we found a love for travel and made a vow to continue to travel every year.
