Q&A with the Bride and Groom:
How did you meet?
My family moved from Texas to Colorado when I was 3 years old. We moved into a duplex and low and behold the love of my life lived on the other side. Bradley’s mom would babysit my sister and I and my mom would babysit Bradley and his brother. We moved a few years later and lost touch. When we were 13 years old we reconnected over Facebook and have been together ever since!
What is your proposal story?
I woke up one morning and Bradley was not in our apartment. I looked in the living room and there was a note on the table saying to get ready and go to the spot we had one of our first dates. I showed up to the spot and there was another note saying to go to the place we had a first kiss. This lasted all day and I went to all of our special spots. The last spot was about an hour away at our favorite camping spot in the mountains. When I arrived Bradley was standing at the end of a bridge with the ring. I was so surprised!
Tell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices).
We really wanted a very clean and elegant looks. We stuck with light pinks, golds and greenery for our decor and stationary.we loved how the red rocks looked with all of the greenery around our ceremony venue.
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
We KNEW we would spend however much we wanted to on the photographer. Photographs are a very important thing to us and we were willing to cut things out just to get the perfect photographer, which we DID! We loved Courtney and Molly! Absolutely the best thing we spent money on. We also created our own bouquets which saved on money and was a fun bonding experience with my bridesmaids!
What were your favorite parts of the day? (memories and stories)
We had so much fun dancing with everyone! Bradley and I are NOT dancers. I don’t think I have ever seen him dance before our wedding. We needed up on the dance floor pretty much all night!
What did you do for favors?
My mom has surprised me by ordering VooDoo Doughnuts and personalized paper bags for guests to take them home in!
