Notes from the photographer, Amy Bluestar:
Jd had been going into the same salon where Britney worked for several years to get his hair cut by their mutual friend but their paths never crossed until 2014 when Jds sister mentioned to Britney that her brother was coming home at Christmas and they were going to date, of course Britney just laughed it off but sure enough 6 months later when Jd came home from paramedic school the two met for drinks and they havent been apart ever sense. One year later on their anniversary Jd came home and got down on one knee in their kitchen as Britney was cooking their first anniversary dinner. Of course she said yes! She couldnt wait to marry this man. The kind of man she always knew she wanted to marry, the kind of man that she had been waiting for her whole life, and even after their first date together Britney knew that he was the one that she had been waiting for.
Jd was the one that suggested they get married up in the mountains at the base of Lone Cone, the same spot that his Grandpa would take him fishing, and with his grandfathers passing the spot holds a special place in their hearts. The entire wedding day was magical, it poured down rain right up until the ceremony started and as Britney began to make her way down the isle the clouds parted and we were blessed with sunshine through the rest of the evening. While everyone was looking at Britney walk out of the enchanted forest, she was only looking at him I will never forget the look on his face as my dad walked down the isle, it was the happiest I'd ever seen him. After the ceremony we took pictures in the clouds, ate a delicious meal from the Chuck Wagon Dinner, took images in the photo booth, and danced in the mud with their friends until the early hours of the morning. One of the many things that Britney loves about Jd is that he is always pushing her to do things outside of her comfort zone and while they were on their honeymoon the couple climbed a 14er, Britneys first! Their love for each other continues to grow each day and they cannot wait to start a family together.
