The fusion of the web-based blog and the classic magazine. A blogazine is like a blog being that it is generally the thoughts of an individual rather than an organization. However, it is also like a magazine in two ways: the content is higher quality {more refined, focused, and selective}, and the design of each blog post/magazine article is custom tailored to the content. What is Couture? cou·ture [koo-toor; Fr. koo-tyr] adj. being, having, or suggesting the style, quality, etc., of a fashion designer; very fashionable: the couture look. COUTUREcolorado WEDDING launched on the day of love, February 14th, 2010. It quickly gained recognition and readership. 5280, a Denver magazine, named COUTUREcolorado BEST BLOG four months after it's launch and again in 2011. Due to the overwhelming success of WEDDING, the founder Laura Dombrowski launched a sister site: COUTUREcolorado LIFE & STYLE on Colorado's 135th Birthday, August 1st, 2011. Goal: Providing Colorado women with their daily dose of inspiration while shining light on one-of-a-kind Colorado businesses. Motto: Be an inspiration. Meet the founder: Laura Dombrowski is very well-versed in the ins and outs of running her own business. Just two years after earning her business degree from the University of Denver with a double major in finance and statistics, Laura switched gears and started her own photography studio in 2003. Over the course of her photography career she has photographed over 100 weddings worldwide. As a professional photographer, Laura’s work has been published in The Knot Colorado, Premier Bride, Fortune Magazine, Colorado Homes, and Europe’s.net Magazine among others. She was named the Knot’s Best of Wedding pick 2008/2009. She was also voted TOP 5 BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS in Colorado by 7 NEWS in 2007 and 2008. In 2008, Laura made her television debut on the STYLE Network, photographing a fashion shoot for the television show “Split Ends”. Currently, Laura focuses the majority of her time on COUTUREcolorado. She is thrilled with spending her days showing off the talent of local wedding professionals and the weddings they create on COUTUREcolorado WEDDING. She is passionate about the art of weddings and has always had a deep respect for the entrepreneurial spirit. With developing the LIFE & STYLE site, she is honored to showcase distinctive stylish Colorado businesses. Having lived in Denver for 14 years, she is ecstatic to have a voice to inspire the modern Colorado woman.
