Couture Colorado

STYLE: elegant yet simple, friendly gathering with southern roots, outdoor comfort with hints of glam and prep, southern affair, elegant touches mixed with a down-home feel
INSPIRATION: The recent Kentucky Derby. They mixed the elegant touches of the south, traditional pieces of the derby and mixed them together to create a down-home feel for an outdoor party. White and blush flowers filled the gold accented tables and the girls-hats and mint juleps in hand-created quite the soiree. DIY project: Need an easy {and affordable} way to dress up a table/place cards? Go to your local dollar store and grab plastic farm animals (in this case- just horses, of course) and spray paint them. With a fresh coat of gold leaf spray paint, the horses served as the perfect "glam" accent to our tablescape.
