How they met...
The night I met Sean I never imagined he would someday be proposing to me. Our mutual friend Kara introduced us when she was in town from California on Thanksgiving weekend. It was a freezing cold night in Cleveland and we ventured out in the snow to meet a couple of her friends downtown. Among her friends was a tall, dark, handsome guy who I immediately had a crush on. Sean introduced himself to me and I was shocked at how shy he was. We didn't get a chance to talk much when our other friends pulled our attention elsewhere. We never exchanged numbers or even shared a proper goodbye as the night wrapped up. I thought I would never see him again and was so bummed. The next day I received an inbox from a potential client wanting a haircut. Sean :)
Since we've me...
After we met, Jessica and I were together every weekend and time away from work. I was currently working at Goodyear in Akron Ohio and happy with the job. Shortly after we started dating I got a call from Ball Aerospace to come work in Boulder Colorado. It was a random call that I wasn't expecting and the decision weighed heavily when I went to explain this to Jessica. I really didn't believe she would care but then when I saw her reaction and her tears, I knew at that moment how much she cared about me. We promised to see each other every 2 weeks and talk every day, even though we were 2 time zones away and a 3 hour flights apart. I realized being long distance from someone for 3 years can really force you to have conversations that you wouldn't have if you were in the same place as that person. Our love, respect and understanding of each other flourished over those 3 years. Jessica is the most loving, caring, thoughtful, selfless person I've ever known. We've traveled the world together and experience new things everyday. I can't imagine anything working better than it has and looking forward to our future together.
The venue...
The Southern-style Georgian mansion built in 1914 has all the history, charm and romance we were looking for. The six-acre venue is surrounded by panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the cityscape of downtown Denver framed between the hogbacks of the foothills.
