Notes from the bride:
2020 was a difficult year for us all, but for Rachel and Logan, it was a year that included with great loss — the loss of a job, of a dream wedding, and, worst of all, of a father and a sister.
When life deals us cards of tragedy, we have a choice to make: we can allow the tragedy to overcome us, to give in to the sadness and give up; OR, we can choose to make the most of what we’ve been dealt, to turn the situation around, and to create light and happiness out of darkness. Rachel and Logan chose the latter.
Rachel and Logan had a beautiful, traditional wedding planned at the Highlands Ranch Mansion in September of 2020, but like most COVID couples, plans for a large gathering were put on hold. But to Rachel and Logan, this didn’t matter as much as it may have a year ago. Instead, it only solidified their commitment to each other, and left them all the more determined to marry in 2020 and to turn the year around for the better. And they couldn’t be more happy with their decision.
The two decided to stick with the same wedding date, but on a much smaller scale, moving the wedding location to a gorgeous mountain mansion in Breckenridge, and inviting only immediate family and their wedding party. And instead of a traditional one-day gathering, Rachel and Logan made a whole weekend of it. From Friday thru Sunday guests got to experience all that the Rockies have to offer - from mountain hikes to sunset boating. And for the Sunday wedding, the entire wedding party came together to make the day a special experience for all. Bridesmaids acted as florists, family as decorators, groomsmen as event crew, one friend as a minister and another as a videographer, and Rachel and Logan as wedding planners. Together, they created a more beautiful wedding than Rachel and Logan could have imagined.
You know what they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. That’s exactly what Rachel and Logan did.
And their original wedding photographer was there along the way, to document the most perfect day and capture memories they’ll never forget.
