Notes from the photographer, Nicole Lenzen {LISTmember} :
Scott and Aly reside in Indianapolis, Indiana but were both set on a destination wedding. Scott knew it wouldn't be hard to convince Aly to choose Beaver Creek, CO. His love of this quaint ski village began many years ago with a long time family tradition of ski vacations at their mountain home. In more recent years, Scott grew to appreciate the summer and fall months in Beaver Creek, with exceptional golf, breathtaking views of nature, perfect climates, and lighter crowds around the village. He knew Aly would agree that they would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful and serene place to create wonderful memories, among their closest family and friends. The wedding was a weekend event, with activities for all tastes and personalities.

More from the photographer.......
The rehearsal dinner was held atop the mountain, at private club, Allie's Cabin, which offered stunning floor to ceiling views of Beaver Creek. The wedding day could not have been more perfect, from the weather, to the flawless blooms of the floral bouquets and centerpieces, made just three days prior by the bride, and her fuss-free bridesmaids. Many fingers were crossed entering the ski-storage room on the wedding day, where hundreds of arrangements were stored before the wedding. The ceremony at the Beaver Creek Chapel was seemingly flawless as the sun shone through the beautiful glass windows overlooking the creek and hundreds of gold and green-leafed Aspen trees. Scott's mother played the flute with other musical accompanists to welcome guests with a personal touch. As a long time close friend of the couple, Father Matthew Kuczora made a trip from Notre Dame, IN to offer an incredibly personal ceremony for the couple and their guests. It was so important for Aly & Scott's reception to be a fabulous party for their 175 guests who traveled from all over the country to spend the weekend celebrating with them. Just across the creek, guests were greeted for cocktail hour with a musical trio and sushi bar on the patio of The Beaver Creek Club, overlooking the mountainside. Later, various food stations opened to accommodate a range of tastes from made to order "gourmet" mac & cheese and mountain barbeque, to kale and quinoa salads. In order to keep the party atmosphere in place, the couple opted for a less traditional table arrangement with unassigned seating. The couple thought this would encourage more dancing and socializing, as opposed to being tied to a specific table for several hours. They were right! The seven-piece band played throughout the night, with breaks for speeches, a bridal dress change, cake-cutting, and pizza delivery, perfect for a late night snack before guests walked back to the resort, just across the village. The day was greater than the couple ever imagined. Most of the planning was done on their own from 1500 miles away, which can certainly provoke a feeling of uneasiness for two very Type-A people. They never heard their band play in-person, were unable to do a food-tasting, created every flower arrangement with no floral experience, and the furniture movers ended up being some of the bridesmaids' husbands, when the moving company showed up 5 hours late! That being said, the wedding day was nearly perfect and stress-free for the bride and groom. They heeded the advice of many of their happily married friends and truly took in the day, and enjoyed the once in a lifetime moments.Aly & Scott took a lot of pride in how well everything turned out and the wonderful compliments from many of the guests. Knowing that there were so many variable factors, they truly had to let go and hope for the best. Their philosophy proved successful, as they were even able to host their Vegas-inspired celebratory pool party the next afternoon!?
