We are both present to film each wedding event and have been complimented on our video ninja skills of maneuverability and unobtrusiveness. WHEN AND WHY DID YOU START SHOOTING WEDDING?
Lockerpartners sought after wedding video production in 2006 with a bent to transform the common wedding video into a visual experience appreciated by even the most skeptical audience (including ourselves). We also have a flip side to our company www.lockerpartners.com - our works in that arena range from music video production to documentary video profiles of university educational programs - which keeps our documentary muscles flexing when the wedding season is waning.
HOW DID YOU LEARN YOUR CRAFT?
We both have fine arts backgrounds (Emily - B.A. in Studio Art and Mary Grace - B.A. in Drama) but we'd have to say we're mostly self-taught when it comes to video. Although...Emily made stop motion video animation shorts in college and Mary Grace used to go around documenting her Friday nights on her stepdad's camcorder...and they both took a narrative filmmaking course (but that was back on VHS). After college, we combined our talents and started making comedic video shorts together and participated in two 48 Hour Film competitions. But...our stylized eye and technical skills have definitely grown from hands on experience and downright diy ambition.

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
Emily grew up near Detroit, Michigan and Mary Grace in Denver, Colorado.
HOW DID YOU END UP IN COLORADO?
We both went to undergrad at Colorado College in Colorado Springs - and met while studying in London(!). But, the duo was cemented after college with Emily's harmless visit to see Mary Grace in Denver. Together, we were going to flee to California or plan a road trip along the northwest coast subsisting solely on tuna and our whims. But, alas, Emily fell in love with the city and never left - and with Emily around Denver seemed that much more like the place to be.
WHEN YOU ARE NOT SHOOTING A WEDDING, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
We enjoy playing MASH and color coordinating our outfits...ha. Seriously, spending time with friends and discussing a recent documentary gem watched on Netflix makes for a happy Lockerpartner.
