A Wedding At The Clocktower

Notes from the photographer: Annie and Michael chose a beautiful palette for their wedding at the Clocktower in Downtown Denver. Purples and blues, along with the soft styling of her bouquet helped to create a relaxed but chic Sunday wedding. The Clocktower made for a unique and intimate reception, utilizing every floor. The 17th floor welcomed guests, the 18th was filled with formal dining for the elders and family from out of the country. The other floors had a more casual feel and younger guests, enjoying music and cocktails, and of course the view. For the couple's portraits, we climbed up to the very top of the clock tower (despite my fear of heights) for an incredible view of the city and private moment for the couple to reflect on their hour-old marriage and what their life will become together. Though the couple chose not to share a first dance, they did honor other traditions, such as introducing all family members from both the groom and bride's sides. Annie changed out of her Maggie Sottero gown into a chic airy dress from Forever 21. She looked fabulous and comfortable, but still very much the bride. Her hotel was around the corner from the venue, so she and her bridesmaid snuck away and returned to cut the cake. One of my absolute favorite images is of the bride and groom, silhouetted by the light coming through the clock face, as they share a romantic kiss in front of their friends and family. The couple were married by the priest who baptized the bride as a child. Family came from all over the world for this trilingual wedding. Filled with love and a sense of ease. The couple are very much in love and a true pleasure to have worked with. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for your consideration.
