When you look back, do you remember weddings you have attended fondly? For a lot of people, it can be a long and expensive day. And they are left exhausted by the end of the wedding. Therefore, you need to try and ensure your guests dont feel this way about your big day. After all, you want them to be talking about your amazing day for years to come. To ensure they have an excellent time at your wedding, here are some little touches which will make a difference to their day!

OFFER THEM MAPS TO ENSURE THEY GET TO THE WEDDING DESTINATION

Its always a challenge for guests to hunt down your wedding venue. It might be in the middle of nowhere which can cause a lot of stress to find it. And if they are not from the area, it can be even harder for them to locate the destination. Therefore, to help them get to the wedding destination on time, you should opt to send some maps with their wedding invite. That way, they will find it easier to hunt down the venue. And if you have the reception somewhere else, you ought to get the ushers to hand out maps at the end of the service. Or you could even arrange some transportation for guests to ensure they safely get to your reception venue!

MAKE SURE THERE IS PLENTY OF SEATING FOR THE SERVICE

Theres nothing worse for guests than having to stand around for ages. And if you are running late to your ceremony, it can mean its even longer for the guests to stand around waiting for the service to begin! Therefore, its important that you ensure that your guests have plenty of seating. That way, they sit down and relax before the ceremony begins. Always opt for a few more than you need so that everyone will be able to hunt down a seat. You can find great chairs similar to resin Chiavari chairs which would be perfect for your ceremony. You could even move them into your marquee for the wedding breakfast after if you need extra seating.

ENSURE THEY ARE WELL FED DURING THE DAY

photo by aldabella photography | view styled shoot It can feel ages for guests before they get to sit down for the wedding breakfast. After all, they have to get through the ceremony, all the photos, and the receiving line before they can sit down for some grub. Therefore, to ensure you lift their spirits, you should make sure they are well fed during the day. During the photos, you might want to serve some canapes which can ensure your guests arent too hungry before the wedding photos. And you should consider having the wedding breakfast before the speeches. That way, people are more likely to listen to the speeches if they have a full stomach. And make sure there is plenty of food in the evening for your guests to snack on. Little touches like a sweetie cart or a candy floss machine will go down a treat with your guests.

INFORM THEM OF ACCOMMODATION THAT IS CLOSE BY

After a long day at a wedding, guests might not want to travel a long distance to get home. Therefore, they are likely to hunt down some accommodation close by. That way, they can have a drink and just get a taxi back to their hotel later on. To ensure they find somewhere, you should put a list of hotels close by to the venue in the wedding invites. That way, they can contact one of the list without needing to do much research. They will be grateful that they dont have to spend ages trying to hunt down somewhere to stay. If you can choose a wedding reception venue that has accommodation that will be even better for your guests. After all, they can just head upstairs after partying the night away and just head home in the morning!

GIVE THE KIDS SOMETHING TO DO

Its always a challenge when it comes to kids on wedding days. If you have invited them, it can mean a day of running around after them for their parents. But so that the adults can relax, you should consider organizing something for them to do. You might want to consider hiring a couple of babysitters (check out the nanny brigade in colorado) who can look after the children attending your wedding while their parents relax. And as for the wedding breakfast, you should ensure there are games the kids can do at the tables. Their parents will be grateful and will remember your wedding fondly! And remember that guests will be extra grateful if you keep things like the ceremony and the speechesshort!
