Where - When living in St. Louis, my home town, I was directing/managing at Changes Salon and Spa while subcontracting as a Motivational Speaker and Instructor for Farouk Systems LLC based out of Houston Texas on the side. Working as a management consultant and instructor Farouk Systems they offered me to move me closer to the west coast as this was a traveling position. I excepted and chose Denver, Colorado. Many of my vacations were spent here. I moved me in 2001. After working for them for 7 years traveling the United States teaching and speaking for them, I resigned in 2002. Due to no longer wanting the constant travel life style, I was ready to settle down in Denver for a family start.
When - My business started in Colorado in 2002. I started with weddings and skincare studio. I was most popular for makeup, eyelash work and special hair styling in St. Louis. I learned my craft from everyone I met around me, professionals at shows from all over the world. I was the lucky one could say. As education is a constant work in progress, my speed came with the understand of different hair textures and types over time. My creativity starts by listening to a persons vision of themselves. I started in this field in 1994, it has carried me in front of many faces and takes me many places...who would say no to that opportunity? I work hard and making it fun and keeping it professional. I built a name in Denver as an Eye Lash Extension Instructor starting in 2006 with Lavish Lashes LLC. Loving the creation of hair, makeup and lashes for special events. Skincare was my own mission and interest of anatomy that consist 30 hours a week of my time.

Tips - Before making a decision for your hair try 2-3 styles; down, 1/2 pulled back, and all up. If you have tried that first it may help you decide on a head piece, head jewelry or if you even want that at all. Don't be afraid of a little makeup! Sit down with your make artist to give you a trial run, maybe bring in some pictures of yourself or someone else's makeup you think is pretty in their makeup. If you have sensitive skin ask for patch tests. Sleep with a calming mask the night before, your skin will natural dry out from stress or try to blemish this will help that. Will give that dewy facial look. If you are not from Colorado bring lip balm and a heavy moisturizer than what you would use in a humid city. When in doubt, ask a local professional for suggestions they are used to the climate.
