Something Old
If youve had a pair of white heels at the back of your wardrobe for years, now is the time to dig them out again. Give them a quick polish and, hopefully; they will look as good as new again! Old jewelry that youve had since childhood can also be a really nice touch to your outfit. If you dont have old shoes or jewelry, you can think slightly outside the box. How about setting the tables for the reception in some vintage tablecloths? You could even use some dry flowers in the decorations. *photo by alicia lewin - view full feature Something New For their something new, most brides count their wedding dress. Shopping for the dress is possibly the biggest part of wedding preparations for the bride. Hitting the bridal shop is a big day, and many women take all their bridesmaids along with them to enjoy free Champagne and nibbles. If your dress isnt a new one after all, some brides borrow theirs you could keep things simple and just buy a new veil or tiara. Unfortunately, the wedding bands dont count as something new. You have to be a bit more imaginative in your thinking as you cant just fall back on your rings! Something Borrowed Some brides keep their wedding in the family and borrow their mothers old wedding dress. If you dont want to borrow something to wear, there are other ways to get around this one. Renting some form of transportation to take you to the church counts! You can find many hire limos online on sites like silverimage.com. If you hire anything for the day, then it counts as borrowing. As long as you give it back at the end, that is! Something Blue Its easy incorporating blue into your wedding day. Most brides like to wear a blue garter under their dress. Your bouquet can be brightened up with some pretty blue flowers. If you have any blue sapphires in your jewelry box, then get them out to wear as well. Another way to incorporate blue into your wedding day is to use it in the color scheme at your reception venue. Many couples like to decorate their venue to suit their tastes. Use blue in the decorations and table settings to make sure you are following the classic rhyme.
