To me, photography is one of the most important vendors to book. I am pleased to introduce you to this Colorado native and talented wedding photographer, Sarah Hays {LISTmember}. Description of Business: I am a Denver based photographer specializing in wedding photography. I love traveling all through out Colorado and anywhere the road will take me! When and why did you start your business? I have always been drawn to all types of photography and in 2003 I shot my first wedding and fell in love with it. I had found a way to create the art that I love and give people something they would cherish forever! How did you learn your craft? When I knew I really wanted to be a photographer I wanted to learn everything about it. I decided to attend the Art Institute of Colorado and I graduated in 2003. I was asked to shoot a wedding with a friend shortly after I graduated and I was hooked. Ten plus years later I am still loving every minute of it! Describe your photography style and approach to weddings I love turning beautiful moments into beautiful art. My style often reflects my clients unique love story. I love beautiful natural light it brings a simplistic beauty to my images and I use it whenever I can! My artistic style is soft, simple, and romantic. I love getting to know my clients, hearing their love story and vision for their wedding it lets me connect with them so that I am able capture their day just the way they envisioned it. Who or what inspires you? I am inspired by music, art, love, movies, design and fashion. Photographers I follow are Elizabeth Messina and Jose Villa Feature Publications One Hitched Lane, Style Me Pretty, Paper Moon Weddings, Luxe Mountain Weddings, Mile High Bride Favorite Wedding Location I love living in Colorado because there are so many amazing places to have a wedding its to hard to just pick one. Outdoor weddings is what I really love to shoot but give me a unique indoor space and I love that too. Favorite Wedding Trend I love wedding dresses and flowers! I have seen some amazing wedding dresses in the past year and I am just in love with all of the different styles. Flowers are such an important detail in a wedding and even a simple approach to the flowers can be stunning. Right now my favorite are fresh floral headpieces they are so beautiful and unique. Advise for a couple planning a Colorado wedding This time in your life only comes along once, slow down and really soak up every little detail and moment. You should feel like you trust your photographer enough that you have no doubt they are going to capture this special moment in your life just the way you imagined it. Feeling a connection with your photographer is as important as the images they create because when we connect with someone we become vulnerable, and thats when magic happens. Where did you grow up? I am a proud Colorado Native! I grew up in the Littleton area and still reside here with my two beautiful daughters and amazing husband. Colorado is very dear to my heart I feel so blessed to have such an beautiful place to work and raise my family. Below are a few of our favorite images of Sarah's.
