The Wizard of Oz is one of my all time-faves, and The Great and Powerful Oz definitely stoked the flame this past year. As I already have a love for classic character Halloween costumes, the yellow brick road seemed like a good place for inspiration. As I searched Etsy for an Oz-themed costume for my wee one, I was thinking along the lines of the Cowardly Lion, perhaps the Scarecrow... but this Flying Monkey costume stole the show. I know, I know, the flying monkeys are the scariest thing ever, but with Zach Braff as Finley in the new release, its just kid-friendly enough. Just look at the adorable military styled jacket, and the perfectly crafted wings!
Stitched by Jamie Lynn on Etsy also makes adorable toddler blazers, which makes sense when you see the tailoring in the costume. Now to choose: a Theodora or Evanora costume for me?
