Jennifer and Andrews met at a college alumni happy hour in Houston. A few years later, Andrews proposed on their anniversary. "We went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, and I was taking my time on the tower of gelato they brought out for dessert," Jennifer says. "I could tell Andrews was getting impatient, but I didn't realize we had a group of friends and family waiting on us while I was savoring every last bite of this gelato. (In my defense, it was awesome). Afterwards, we went home and he asked if I wanted to come up to the deck with him. It was on the roof, and you have to climb a ladder up. About halfway there I saw a ton of candles, rose petals and a bottle of champagne. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of the Houston skyline and I said, 'Yes!'"
They decided to get married at one of their favorite place to visit: Colorado. They fell in love with Cordillera's beautiful, intimate setting for their guests to have a weekend away. The ceremony was on the Overlook Lawn with incredible mountain views. "We are terrible dancers and do not enjoy having attention on us so we were both super nervous about these two minutes of the big day," Jennifer says. "We took dance lessons to prepare, but there is only so much they could do for us. We tried to walk through our choreography to Van Morrison's 'Into the Mystic,' but pretty much gave up and laughed our way through the dance. We had total a blast, and hopefully the video never makes it on YouTube."
