Notes from the photographer,Tara Bielecki {LISTmember}:
For this shoot we really wanted to show couples that you can take the classic influences of art-deco and make it into a wedding that is modern and unique to your personality, breathing new life and putting a spin on such an elegant theme. We photographed the wedding at the new Globeville hotspot, Fort Greene. It was named after the Brooklyn neighborhood and boasts the original bar dating back to 100 years ago, as well as some of the original fixtures that still light this cozy space. Fort Greene has made quite a splash with the young professionals in downtown Denver and is the go to spot for handcrafted cocktails. As youll see in the photos and video, this place has tons of character, making it the perfect location for intimate weddings. We chose a simple but very glam Sarah Seven gown that complimented our brides style and the gorgeous jewelry from Abby Sparks. For menswear we chose clothing that really represents a majority of men living in Denver. Armitage & McMillan was the perfect spot to chose clothing that modern grooms can relate to and feel comfortable in. It was important to us that we have rich, jewel-toned florals to accent the green walls that cover this prohibition styled bar. MJM Designs married the elegance of the 1920s with modern couples in her stunning arrangements.
