Notes from wedding planner, Jessica Dee Martinez of Pro Chic Events:
Concept Design: Our handsome couple is modern, down to earth and masculine. We wanted to create a beautiful backdrop that showcased their exceptional love for one another and complimented who they are together. Our team focused on the earthy greenery, white floral accents and natural elements such as wood, metal, twine and cotton. The designers focused on harnessing the heart of the earth and bringing it inside. With overflowing greenery, we chose to keep our designs clean and symmetrical. The metal chairs, wooden Napa table and classic tan and black stationary tied in our earthy winter look. Of course, we even incorporated dirt, moss and pine cones to finish our naturally green styled masterpiece. Hot cocoa, S'mores and roasted marshmallows add a playfulness to the winter romance. This concept is perfect for any season and can be dressed up with different color floral accents for a more bold or enchanted look. Simply taking out the pine cones and cold weather attire will create a look perfect for any season. Our couple is wearing endless layers. Sex appeal and cozy masculinity were our focus for the styling. Pieter and Brandon presented in the attire collection beautifully and their entire look provided a perfectly polished, cohesive design. This gorgeous shoot is packed full of moments that capture natures beauty, classic design, a romantic cold winter day, and the raw love that exists between two people. Venue: Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center on Boulder Creek was absolutely breathtaking. The snow dusted trees, misty air and calm flowing creek were the perfect background amid a thick mountain forest. The overlooks, natural rock walls and pathways provided limitless opportunities to capture our couple's love. Floral Design Recipe: White King Protea, White Peonies, Cotton, Curly Willow, Cattails, Eryngium, Astrantia, Genista, Scabiosa Pods, Podocarpus, Aussie Fern, Sword Fern, Tree Fern, Cedar, Eucalyptus, Pine Cones, Moss.

Photographer: 9 Line Photography | Event Venue: Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center on Boulder Creek | Design and Decor: Pro Chic Events | Apparel: Men's Warehouse | Linens and Coverings: RC Special Events | Invitation Designer: Veronica Preston Design | Notes by Pieter about how he met the love of his life, Brandon: I have always championed myself in being thoroughly modern and up to date with trends and norms. As such, Brandon and I met online on a dating website that involved long profiles and lots of questions to aid the dating process. I thought it was a very modern and convenient way to find out if whether someone was a good relationship possibility. Brandon, however, did not really think the same way: his profile was sparse and had few details, his pictures were blurry and taken spur of the moment, and he was not great with getting back to me right away. It totally threw a wrench in my dating gears. I thought about giving up when he mentioned he was going out with friends to a bar and asked me to join. It was not romantic-sounding and held little promise of personal getting to know time that I wanted. I shared my thoughts with a friend and he encouraged me to go. He said he and my coworker would act as wingmen and that it would be like Westside Story, with us being the Jets and Brandon and his friends as the Sharks but with a happy ending. We were to meet for the date out at a cowboy bar, complete with dancing. My friends and I sat outside sipping drinks and waiting. I got a text from Brandon saying he had arrived and despite all my modern ideas I was so nervous. I went to meet him at the door and his smile blew me away. His pictures did nothing to prepare me. I took him back to meet my friends and he brought me to meet his and everything was perfect in its imperfection. We mingled with friends and got to know each other without the distance of a phone screen. We were talking about places we would love to travel, and he stopped and perked an ear up for a moment. He gave me a wry smile and grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the floor. Before I knew what was happening, his hand was around my waist and my hand was in his and we were on dance floor. I was terrified I would mess up and I stepped on his feet what must have been a dozen times but that smile made me feel like I was walking on air. He whisked me around and around and I could not possibly have been happier. It was not modern, it was not convenient, but it was better than anything I could have planned. That night I learned a few important things about myself and about love. Blurry profile pictures can hide the most handsome faces. Chatting online means you don't get to hear the endearing sound of laughter or see the twinkle in his eyes when he smiles. And finally, you may not know all the steps, but dancing cheek to cheek will send you head over heels in the a way that no online profile questions ever could. There could have been no better way to fall in love and no better person to fall with.
