Confession: I don't love snow. But I do love things that are pretty, and there's nothing prettier than photos of people you love enveloped in a wintery wonderland. So this week, with a yard full of the white stuff, I took Vivienne out to break in the snow suit and maybe load up my Instagram with snow angel-making pics. She had other ideas... the minute her hands touched the snow she turned and beelined it for the front door. Kiddo, I don't blame you. Luckily, Carrie was more successful than I with this five minute snowy day session.

Autumn (5) is the little fashionista dressed in head-to-toe style. She is really mature and loves to hang out with "the girls". By contrast, Avery (7) is 100% boy. He is always on the move and will rarely sit for a photo (even for his aunt). He is energetic; we had to pry him away from the park, while the rest of us couldn't wait to pile into the car. And Max (6, in the monster beanie) never stops smiling. He is the happiest child I know. His laugh is absolutely heart warming and contageous; you can't help but smile when you hear it.
These photos were taken on the first snow of the winter. We just happened to be together that Sunday, so the photo shoot itself was on a whim. It was crazy windy outside so we were only out for about five minutes. We had hot chocolate to warm the kids up... unfortunately, it was all gone by the time we made it to the park!
